Well hello to you! This is my first ever blog so please bear with me! I launched my updated website on Monday, so I'm very excited about it and I'm having to learn new blogging skills and online shop instructions as I go along! I hope you find the site easy to navigate around.
So Christmas came and went ridiculously quickly for me. All my hard-earned money went on having the kitchen redone, as we'd suffered a nasty leak a few months previously and all the cupboard legs, kickboards and flooring were ruined! So I was banging and smashing in my studio, while 3 workmen were banging and smashing in my kitchen at the same time - it was complete mayhem! They finished just before New Year and the kitchen looks fab!
As to January, did we actually have January? It was a blur of workshops and evening classes and, of course, making mosaic orders for me. February has been much the same so far, but I do love teaching "newbies" how to mosaic...nearly every beginner complains about how long a mosaic takes to make and they leave my class saying that I undercharge when I sell my designs. Result, ha ha!
Well, that's it for now. I must go and tidy up my studio from today's workshop so I can get some work done in there! I've got some serious stock-making to do for my big event in March, the brilliant Fabulous Places Spring Market at The Roundhouse in Derby. If you want more details please visit the dedicated website: http://derbyshirespringmarket.co.uk/
Many thanks for visiting Lily Mosaics and I hope you'll come back soon. Lis
